“It is a landmark in Bradford. There was uproar when it closed and we thought it is the ideal thing to do with the premises, and ideal with the recent news of Harry Ramsden’s closing. It can only be good news for Bradford….We all grew up there, we used to go regularly for fish and chips. We were all upset when it closed….It’s more of a 2012 look,” he said. “The days of wooden chairs, papered walls and flares have long gone. We’ll bring it up to date.”
