Our Product

Mother Hubbards Restaurant first opened doors to serve its famous fish and chips in 1972. Our drive remains to deliver a premium quality product with our popular and loved original recipe. The Mother Hubbards flavour is one which remains unparalleled and distinct.

Our fresh haddock is sourced from renewable bases and remains a popular option amongst fish and chip enthusiasts. Haddock, a member of the cod family, is a lean white fish, with a tender flaky texture and a mild sweet taste, which provides it with its unique flavour.

Haddock has a range of vital nutrients at its core such as; Omega 3 fatty acids, selenium, vitamin B12 and B6.

Our perfectly golden and crispy haddock and use of only the finest British farmed white potatoes for our fluffy golden chips are vital for a true Mother Hubbards experience.

Our fish remains the original premium quality Haddock which we take great pride in. Fresh produce is delivered to our restaurants, and our original recipe fish is freshly prepared, upon order.

Our British farmed white potatoes form our crispy golden thick cut chips. Our potatoes are freshly peeled, washed, and cut throughout our day of service, at every restaurant.

Our batter is freshly prepared to the perfect consistency every day, to ensure the quality of our product. Our batter remains our best kept secret - the basis to our golden, crispy and perfectly textured fish. You’ll have to try it to experience it!

At Mother Hubbard’s our ethos remains to deliver our valued and respected customers with the best and famous original recipe fish and chips. Continuing the Mother Hubbards original recipe today allows us to keep in touch with our tradition and satisfy our customers with the mouth-watering fish and chips, which has won their hearts.
